SPORTS DAY HELD AT JSHS (10.02.2023)

Champions aren’t made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them – a desire, a dream, a vision.

Games and sports have become an integral element of present day education. They teach them the qualities of discipline, sportsmanship, team spirit and leadership. They also enhance the physical and mental development of children.

Jesus Sacred Heart School, South City, Ludhiana celebrated Annual Sports Day – 2023 amidst a lot of fun and frolic.

The Sports programme began with the release of balloons by the Principal, Kirti Sharma. This was followed by the Oath-taking ceremony and torch ceremony. Students gave stunning performance in the track events by displaying their vigour and athletic talents. There were some fun races for Grades Pre-nursery, Nursery and Prep. These little shining stars also presented a Pom-pom Callisthenic drill, enchanting everyone with their rhythmical movements. There were some more races for the students of Grades I to VIII, displaying their vigour and athletic talents.

The teachers also got an opportunity to prove their physical fitness by participating in races. They proved that age is no bar for running and winning on the tracks. There was also a Mixed Relay for Students.

The winners were awarded medals and certificates. Director of the school Pawandeep Singh in his address laid emphasis on the need to participate. He said that it is not important to win. It is participation that makes all the difference. He congratulated the team of teachers and students for a successful afternoon.
