LSSC PEOTRY RECITATION COMPETITION HELD IN JSHS

 “Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.”

For the holistic development of various skills among students, Ludhiana Sahodya School Complex organized poem recitation competition which was hosted by Jesus’ Sacred Heart School, DX-1, South City, Ludhiana on virtual platform in which various schools from Ludhiana participated. The event was bifurcated in two slots (I – III)  & (IV – V) for both categories (English & Hindi).

The students prepared the poetry recitation on themes like epic poetry, pastoral and narrative highlighting super natural forces, stories of valour and strength, conflict & resolution. They came up on stage with full zeal and fervour.

In Hindi poetry, the theme for narration were ‘Rasas’ and ‘My hope  & aspirations’.

It was indeed a tough competition as all the participants came up with props and backdrops of utmost precision.

Judges were spell bound to see students performing with proper voice modulation and oratory skills. Judges applauded the efforts of children reciting  the language of soul poetry.

In category A (English)at winners position it was Damanpreet Kaur from Police DAV, followed by Yedant Bhakoo from BCM Arya Model, Sen. Sec. School, third position was taken up by Kashish from BCM School, Pakhowal Road. Parneet Kaur from Drishti Dr. R.C. Jain Innovative Public school was awarded consolation prize

In category B (English) winners position was bagged by Ridhaan Dutta from BCM Arya Model, Sen. Sec. School, second position was bagged by  Jovin Sharma from DAV Public School, BRS Nagar and third position was bagged by Ishamdeep Kaur BVM, Udham Singh Nagar, Ludhiana. Disha Jaidka from BCM, Pakhowal Road was awarded consolation prize

In category A (Hindi) winners position was secured by Aradhya from BCM Arya Model, Sen. Sec. School followed by Genica from Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Park at second position  and Anhad Singh Dhaliwal from Drishti Dr. R.C. Jain Innovative Public school. Zaina Grover from Manav Rachna International School Bagged the Consolation prize.

In category B (Hindi) winners position was bagged by Rhythm from BCM School, Chd. Road at second position it was Mahi Saluja from BCM Arya Model, Sen. Sec. School and at third position Hargun Kaur from BCM School, Pakhowal Road  took away the prize. Consolation prize was awarded to Hiten Wadhawan from Spring Dale Public School

Principal Kirti Sharma appreciated the efforts of all the participants & motivated all to keep alive the essence of poetry. She congratulated all the winners and their mentors for making the event a grand success.
