JSHS MODELS SELECTED TO REPRESENT AT NATIONAL LEVEL (30.1.19)

 

It was a proud moment for Jesus` Sacred Heart School, South City Ludhiana for being the only school in Punjab this year to get selected for Nationals in both Science and Math categories. The school won first position in Mathematics model and second position in science model at CBSE Regional level Exhibition held in KVM after competing with around 130 schools all over Punjab.

Students of our school, Sanitya Srivastava of grade XI and Harasees Singh of grade VI convinced the judges about their proposed idea on how can we save `Polar by going Solar` by making a solar roadway that would be more tensile and durable with all forms of electronic technology. Also they gave an idea of installing outdoor air purifiers at a nominal cost which would bring the particulate matter down.

In Science model, Manveer Kaur, student of grade IX and Arkita of grade VIII reassured the judges with their brilliant ideas on topic ‘trash can or treasure chest’ under the sub topic –waste management. They proposed the ideas of converting tiles out of plastics, extracting oil from plastic by pyrolysis method.

The Director of the school, Pawandeep Singh and Principal Kirti Sharma congratulated and appreciated the efforts put in by the facilitators and students for bringing laurels to the entire city and state.  An electrifying atmosphere full of excitement and enthusiasm imbibed among the Jesus’ Sacred Heartians over this great news hoping to compete at National level to be held at Noida on 8th February 2019 wherein researchers and scientists of the highest caliber may approach for taking up projects commercially.
