JSHS CELEBRATES LABOUR’S DAY(1.5.19)

“It is only through labour and painful effort, by grim energy and resolute courage that we move on to better things.”

To commemorate the Labour Day and to appreciate and thank the selfless service of all the sub staff of the school, who work with full dedication and ensure the hygiene and security of school, the students of Jesus’ Sacred Heart School, South City, Ludhiana  celebrated Labour Day on 1st May, 2019 with zeal and enthusiasm. We have always believed that it is small acts of kindness that count and we attempt to inculcate that same virtue in our children.

The event was organised by students of Grade 11 and 12 that was special in many ways, as students sent forth a reverberating message that without labour, nothing prospers. The students were acquainted with the history behind Labour Day celebrations. The informative speech was followed by a melodious song. Then some students expressed their love and gratitude by presenting their tokens of love to the sub staff which they gladly received.

Friendly cricket match & football match was also organized between drivers and conductors. Fun based games for female staff were also played and their happy faces could be seen beaming with smile.

Director of the school, Pawandeep Singh along with Principal, Kirti Sharma congratulated the workers and thanked them for their endless services. The function culminated with sumptuous lunch organized for support staff to make them feel special and honoured.
