JESUS’ SACRED HEART SCHOOL MARKED THE GRAND OPENING OF ‘G. S MEMORIAL’(13.10.2018)

The ground of Jesus’ Sacred Heart School, DX-1, South City, Ludhiana wore a festive look for the beginning of two days festival-Annual G.S. Memorial inter school multi-event extravaganza wherein preliminary matches have taken place during last week.  The event began with great fanfare and gusto. More than 3500 students from 40 schools across Ludhiana and adjoining areas participated to become a part of prestigious inter school event presenting their dazzling and adventurer display of activities encompassing sports, cultural and academic events.This multi-event extravaganza is an Inter-School Kids Festival designed for all school students of Grades (I-V) and few of the sports events have been added this year for grades VI & VII.

The opening ceremony included March past by participating teams, Flag hoisting and Oath taking ceremony.The Director of the school, Pawandeep Singh took salute from the marching contingents of various schools.  He extended a warm welcome laid stress on the importance of overall development of the students. He also expressed that it is his dream to see events like this take place more often at the campus. He told the students that he would like these cultural exchanges to become a regular feature at the campus of Jesus’ Sacred Heart School.
The cultural festival started by seeking the blessings of Lord Krishna through welcome dance performed by the students of host School which was a treat to the eyes of the spectators.  It was followed by outdoor activities like athletics and a show case of modern agricultural practices.
Prize distribution was done by the Chairperson Amarjit Kaur along with Members of the Management . Under category grades I-III(Boys&Girls) 100 mts race was bagged Jesus’ Sacred Heart School,200 mts was bagged by Blossom Convent and JSHS. Under category Grade IV-V(Boys &Girls), 200 mts race was bagged by BCM School(CHd. Road) and Blossom Convent School first position in Relay Race was bagged by Blossom Convent School. BCM Arya Model School has bagged first position in Modern Agricultural Practices- a showcase, Pantamime and Shell Art.The first position in Maths Count was clinched by DAV Public School, BRS Nagar. In StutiNaritya, Jesus’ Sacred Heart School shared the first position with BCM School(Dugri).
All the winners were highly excited and in jovial mood after getting big wins against so many competitors. All teams were in full form to compete for overall trophy.The event was diligently organized. There was a soul to it. A soul that was vibrant, contagious and exuberant. The first day ended with a wait for next day.
