Inter School Carnival – G.S Memorial -2022 concluded (15.10.2022)

Amid much excitement and fervour, a two-day glittering cultural extravaganza, G.S. Memoral-2022- Inter-school carnival, concluded at Jesus’ Sacred Heart School DX-1, South City, Ludhiana. The grand festival aims to bring young people, from different walks of life together on the same platform to compete, share and highlight their talents. The event had a colourful start with 4500 students from around 45 schools participated in cultural extravaganza showcasing their daring skills in sports and other co-curricular activities. The events like Lippan Art, writing and reciting and cluster show were designed to judge the creative skills in students. The highlight of the show was a stage event, Masquerade Show wherein the students presented the new fashion trend. Audience witnessed the display of singing talent in `Be a Rockstar’. The final matches in sports were played in the grounds. Sacred Heart Convent, BRS Nagar Grade VII-X and BCM Chandigarh Road Grade I-VI were the winners for cricket in the respective categories. In Football boys, (Grade VII-X) Sacred Heart Convent School, BRS nagar and for grade I-VI Jesus’ Sacred Heart School were the winners. In football girls grade VII-X Nankana Sahib, Kila Raipur and for grade I-VI, Drishti R.C. Jain were the winner in respective categories. In basketball boys VII-X category DAV, Pakhowal road emerged as winners and in I-VI boys, category Jesus’ Sacred Heart School emerged as winners. In girls basketball VII-X DAV, BRS Nagar and in I-VI categories Jesus Sacred Heart School emerged as winners.

The most awaited moment was the prize distribution which was done by the chief guest cum Chairperson of school Amarjit Kaur along with the members of the management. The overall trophy in co-curricular events was conferred upon BCM Arya, Shastri Nagar and first runner up was  GNIPS, Model Town.   In sports events which included cricket, basketball, football, skating, swimming and athletics-Jesus Sacred Heart School bagged winner trophy. The event was declared close by Honourable Director of the school, Pawandeep Singh who lauded the efforts put in by mentors and students to bring forth best out of students. The show was a huge success.
