Jesus’ Sacred Heart School, DX-1, South City, Ludhiana was soaked in a festive fervour as the two-day long glittering cultural extravaganza, Inter School Festival “Eleventh G.S Memorial 2022”, kicked off to a colourful start on 14 October, 2022 in the sprawling campus. Over 4500 participants from around 45 schools of the city participated in the festival that aims to bring young people together on the same platform to compete and learn in the holistic environment. This multi- event kids’ festival is designed for the students of Grade (I-X) to participate in the different areas in cultural, sports, co-curricular and creative events.
The opening ceremony commenced with March Past by participating teams, Flag Hoisting and Oath taking ceremony. The Directors of the school, Pawandeep Singh and Ramandeep Singh took salute from the marching contingents of various schools. Director of the school extended a heartiest welcome to the esteemed gathering and laid stress to participate in extracurricular activities and sports.
In sports, the preliminary matches of cricket, basketball and handball started ten days prior and the final matches between the winning teams will be played on 15th October,2022. The swimming and skating competition showcased skills and endurance of students.
Participants put their best foot forward in academic domains like Brain war and clip voice. The school pulsated with creativity and talent in Des’ Biscuit Dare- A fireless cooking competition, Darpan Kala, Calendar designing and dream catcher. The stage events- Kathputli ki Kahaniyan, Bhasha ki khichdi, character fantasy and Curtain-call won the hearts of the spectators.
The winners were in a jovial mood celebrating their big wins after giving a tough competition. The children were applauded and congratulated by the school Principal for their overwhelming participation in all the activities. It was indeed a momentous day for the educators and students.
