Annual function `crossroad` celebrated with glitz at Jesus Sacred Heart School
JSHS School celebrated its Annual Function (senior) on 16th November 2019 which was woven around the theme “Crossroads” amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. The students of Grade II to XII presented the scintillating show. The Chairperson Amarjit Kaur along with Directors of the school, Pawandeep Singh and Ramandeep Singh, Members of the management commenced the program with the lighting of ceremonial lamp, to the Goddess Saraswati. Principal Kirti Sharma read the annual report enumerating the academic and cultural achievements of the students, briefing the audience about inter cultural learning, global exposure and the philosophy of the school. The school also honoured the deserving students with awards and appreciations in the field of academics, co-curricular and sports.
The program started by seeking the blessings of Almighty through `shabad` to mark 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji. The Cultural Show held the audience in awe and left them enlightened as the show culminated on the theme `crossroad` ,when there are moments in our lives where we find ourselves on a crossroad, confused ,afraid ,without a roadmap. The choices we make in those moments can define rest of our days. was depicted through a blend of drama and dance. The theme was well depicted through a blend of drama and dance.Students of Grade II showcased various stages in man`s life and challenges they face through a rich vibrant dance performance. Mime on theme ` hunger `was a visual feast for the audience. Shadow dance based on theme `religion of humanity` spread the aura of patriotism towards the country. The elastic dance by students added great elan as students danced with grace and poise. The array of scintillating dance performances drew an unceasing applause. A glittering bonanza of folk dance `bhangra` performance were enticing and spellbound the whole audience.
The most memorable moments of the function were marked by the precious words of advice and appreciation by the Director of the school during his address to the parents. Overall, the celebrations concluded on a happy note encouraging the students to establish further milestones in the journey of success.
