ANNUAL FUNCTION FOR SENIOR SECTION CELEBRATED AT JSHS WITH ZEAL AND FERVOUR(19.11.16)

 
Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. To acknowledge and recognise the efforts and dedication of motherland, parents , professionals and support staff, Jesus’ Sacred Heart school hosted an Annual Day cultural fiesta ‘Salaam’, paying tribute to them on 19th November 2016 in the school campus.
The students of senior section presented the scintillating show .The celebration commenced with the lighting of the lamp amidst the school song which echoed in the arena. The function was graced by Ms. Amarjit Kaur, Chairperson, Jesus’ Sacred Heart School along with Directors of the school, Mr. Pawandeep Singh and Mr. Ramandeep Singh, Members of the management and other dignitaries from all walk of life.    All of them were accorded a warm welcome by Head boy and Head girl of the school. The students presented ‘Vandana’, seeking the blessings of all the deities through classical dance. Mr. Ramandeep Singh, Director, Jesus` Sacred Heart School welcomed the august gathering.
The cultural programme commenced honouring the teachers – without whom the life of every one would have been in dark.  The patriotic fervour of the Jesus’ Sacred Heartians was portrayed through ‘Salaam India’ paying homage to the armed forces and their unflinching devotion to the motherland through shadow dance. It was followed by a charismatic and captivating performance of poetic drama acknowledging the selfless service of Doctors. Another phenominal item was the amalgamation of dance and drama honouring support staff.It was a fantabulous act in wherein the substaff of the school was made a part of performance to make them feel proud of their services. 
The grand finale, ‘Punjab di Shaan–Bhangra’ was purely a treat to the eyes and souls as it celebrated the smart ‘fusion’ of western and folk dance. Students took an initiative to spread awareness about the importance of wild life conservation by putting up stall in the school ground.
 The Director, Mr. Pawandeep Singh of the school appreciated and praised the scintillating performances put up by the ardent Students. He said, “The school has truly carved a niche for itself by inducing confidence, sense of responsibility and leadership qualities amongst the vibrant and the dynamic Students.” “The deserving teachers were also awarded with trophies. He also thanked each and everyone for their tireless efforts in making the show a grand success.
