LABOUR DAY CELEBRATION AT JSHS (30.04.2022)

LABOUR DAY CELEBRATION AT JSHS

“All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance, and hence should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.”

To celebrate this painstaking effort of the labour force, that work tirelessly, Labour Day was celebrated at Jesus’ Sacred Heart School DX-1, South City, Ludhiana with great zeal. Labour Day is a reminder for us that these are the real architects of our society, and they deserve their due respect. We have always believed that it is small acts of kindness that count and we attempt to inculcate that same virtue in our children.

The tiny tots of Pre-Primary celebrated the Labour Day by involving the kids in making ‘Thank You’ cards and badges. The teachers briefed the children about Labour Day and its importance. The children expressed gratitude by giving self-made badges and flowers to maids in the school and also to different people like helper in the bus, peon, guard etc. The young ones were overwhelmed by this act of thankfulness and enjoyed the day.

Special morning assembly was designed by Grade VI wherein they highlighted the importance of helpers in one`s life through a role play. Students presented poems and speeches to acknowledge the efforts of Class IV employees. On the occasion, Principal Kirti Sharma appreciated the hard toil of the workers put in by them throughout the year.  The event was designed to forge a better understanding of the labour community among our students who must learn to respect and appreciate their efforts.  The function culminated with sumptuous lunch organized for support staff to make them feel special and honoured.
