ANNUAL SPORTS DAY- SENIORS (31.01.18)

The Annual Sports Day of Jesus’ Sacred Heart School, DX-1, South City, Ludhiana was celebrated on 31st January 2018 amidst great mirth, verve and camaraderie. The grand opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Chairperson cum Chief Guest, Ms. Amarjit kaur Sehgal, Directors of the school, Mr. Pawandeep Singh and Mr. Ramandeep Singh along with school Principal, Ms. Kirti Sharma.
The Chief Guest and other dignitaries were extended a floral welcome. The Principal welcomed the guests and gathering formally. This was entailed by the unfurling of the school flag and the declaration of the Meet open by the Director of the school, Mr. Pawandeep Singh, marking the commencement of the ceremony, followed by the lighting of the flame by the school’s Sports Secretaries and released balloons to mark the expression of joy and rejoicement.
A spectacular, impressive and a well synchronized March Past by the four House contingents of the students rendered the spectators speechless and awestruck.

The most intriguing aspect, embellishing the event, was the splendid field displays, involving mass student participation from Grade 1 to 10, which splattered on the field, a riot of hues and vibrance. The display of the track events included flat race, elephant race and frog race for grade I followed by roll race, hurdle race, cone race for grade II. It was a spectacular feast to the eyes watching the tough competition among sporty Jesus’ Sacred Heartians in track events where 100 mts, 200 mts and 400mts (boys) race were held making the spectators bite their nails and the filled the campus with loud cheers. Relay race (boys, girls) was the real treat as once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for young athletes.
In the Closing Ceremony, the Meet was declared closed by the director of the school.
The lit flame was put off with the beating of the Retreat. The Meet saw its culmination with the National Anthem.
